Trump Administration Urged to Act on Unknown Craft That Defy Conventional Knowledge: Calls for Investigation and Transparency
Written by Christopher Sharp - 5 March 2025
Six weeks into President Donald Trump’s new administration, advocates for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) transparency are urging the White House to take swift action—calling for an urgent investigation and meaningful disclosures.
Lue Elizondo, former head of the Pentagon’s UAP investigation program, AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program), and now with the UAP Disclosure Fund, told Liberation Times:
‘This administration has the unique opportunity to finally provide the truth to the American people about the long-standing interest by our Government into the UAP issue.
‘There exists a plethora of formerly classified documents that have recently been released. One easy way to determine if Agencies are being honest would be to compare what is already available through open source and see if they have already been included in the holdings of the U.S. National Archives.
‘Another low-hanging fruit would be to review all the files from previously disclosed U.S. Government UAP efforts including, but not limited to Blue Book, AAWSAP, AATIP, UAP Task Force, and AARO.
‘Lastly, I have suggested to the new Administration that they create a UAP/Drone Czar position to help shepherd a comprehensive review of ALL available data, including that at the Top Secret level.’
Elizondo and the UAP Disclosure Fund recently released a policy brief, which Liberation Times understands was submitted to the Trump administration.

The brief recommends the appointment of a senior White House advisor to tackle the dual challenges of advanced Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)—collectively referred to as Emerging All-Domain Technologies.
Under this proposal, the advisor, or ‘czar,’ would serve within the National Security Council.
The brief warns that mastery of UAP technology could fundamentally alter the global balance of power to the detriment of the U.S., particularly if adversaries such as Russia and China achieve breakthroughs first.
It states:
‘Mastery of UAP technology would, however, eclipse yesteryear’s moveable type and splitting of the atom, today’s transformations in semiconductors, and tomorrow’s breakthroughs in quantum computing and artificial intelligence—all at once.’
These technologies are described as possessing ‘capabilities that defy our conventional knowledge’.
To date, the Trump administration has not advanced efforts toward Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) transparency.
However, on January 23, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order mandating the declassification of records related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Following this, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform established the ‘Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets,’ chaired by Representative Anna Paulina Luna.
The Task Force is charged with examining the declassification of materials in the public interest, including those related to UAP.
Another potential avenue of investigation rests with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by tech billionaire Elon Musk, which is exploring ways to enhance governmental efficiency, including scrutinizing the Department of Defense (DoD) for potential waste and inefficiencies.
When Liberation Times inquired whether DOGE would investigate alleged illegal UAP programs within the DoD, a representative responded:
‘We are looking for waste, fraud and abuse in contracts.’
A source familiar with the Intelligence Community’s role in UAP told Liberation Times that bipartisan select committees, dedicated specifically to UAP, should be established—similar to the Church and Pike committees of the 1970s, which investigated intelligence abuses by U.S. government agencies.
The source argued that the Trump administration should urge Congress to establish such committees and, once formed, direct them to subpoena, under oath, former Intelligence Community leaders whose offices had direct knowledge of collected and analyzed UAP data.
Sources have told Liberation Times that former directors of the CIA’s Directorate of Science and Technology would be prime candidates for scrutiny, including Dawn Meyerriecks and Glenn Gaffney.
Gaffney, in particular, has been accused of blocking a proposed technology transfer agreement between Lockheed Martin and a prospective special access program established by the Department of Homeland Security, known as Kona Blue.
Another source suggested that potential subpoenas should also target key figures within the Office of Global Access (OGA), now rebranded as the Transnational and Technology Mission Center.
Sources have alleged that the OGA, which was previously located within the Directorate of Science and Technology, has played a role in covert operations to recover non-human spacecraft.
Despite the new administration's apparent lack of interest in the UAP issue, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard signaled a different approach during her confirmation hearing two months ago.
She acknowledged the frustrations of Intelligence Committee members regarding UAP and expressed her commitment to working with them to address the issue.
Liberation Times has reached out to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for comment to confirm progress made since Gabbard was confirmed.
The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), responsible for investigating Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), currently faces a leadership vacuum.
Dr. Jon T. Kosloski, who assumed the role of AARO Director in 2024, reports directly to the Deputy Secretary of Defense. Furthermore, the AARO is situated within the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
However, the Deputy Secretary position has been vacant since Kathleen H. Hicks' departure in January 2025.
President Trump has nominated Stephen Feinberg for the role, but as of now, he has not yet been confirmed by the Senate. This vacancy may impact oversight and strategic guidance for AARO's UAP investigations.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to appear in the highly anticipated documentary ‘The Age of Disclosure,’ premiering this weekend at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas.
The film features interviews with 34 senior U.S. government, military, and intelligence officials, aiming to expose an alleged 80-year cover-up concerning non-human intelligent life and secret efforts by major nations to reverse-engineer extraterrestrial technology.
In the film, Rubio states, “We’ve had repeated instances of something operating in the airspace over restricted nuclear facilities, and it’s not ours. And we don’t know whose it is. That alone deserves inquiry, deserves attention, deserves focus.”
