Representative Luna Spells Out Seriousness Of UFO Whistleblower Testimony: “The Stake Of Our Constitutional Republic Is On The Line”
Written by Christopher Sharp - 28 July 2023
In an exclusive interview with Liberation Times, Representative Anna Paulina Luna, one of the breakout stars of this week's Congressional Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) public hearing, shed light on the profound implications of the testimony regarding an alleged serious government coverup.
When questioned about the significance of special access programs involving materials and biological evidence of non-human intelligence operating without congressional oversight, Representative Luna provided a sobering assessment to Liberation Times:
“I think the stake of our Constitutional Republic is on the line here.
“A lot of people say, ‘well, how is this pertinent to what's happening right now with the economy and the government? When you have a government that's hiding information from its citizens, you no longer have a representative government.
“So this is absolutely about accountability and transparency.”
During the Public Hearing held on July 26, 2023, David Grusch, a former intelligence officer who served with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, made a sworn statement about a covert, multi-decade crash retrieval and reverse engineering program involving non-human intelligence. He disclosed that he was denied access to this program.
Following this significant testimony, both Democrat and Republican members from the House of Representatives have expressed their intent to take further action and thoroughly investigate Grusch's revelations.
On 27 July 2023, Representatives Matt Gaetz, Tim Burchett, Anna Paulina Luna, and Jared Moskowitz signed a letter addressed to Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, requesting the establishment of a Select Committee dedicated to UAP.
The purpose of the committee would be to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the United States Government's response to UAPs. Among the specific issues the Committee would delve into are matters of oversight, including budget transparency, overclassification, and the government's reluctance to be accountable to Congressional oversight.
Representative Luna told Liberation Times that she expects a response from Speaker McCarthy following the August recess.
Further actions are also planned - with Representative Luna confirming more hearings are on the way, stating, "we're going to do some field hearings."
That could mean Congressional public hearings held outside of United States Air Force facilities, such as Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, where Representatives Luna, Burchett, and Gaetz recently confronted officials regarding a UAP incident.
According to Representative Matt Gaetz, a military pilot encountered a fleet of UAPs arranged in a diamond formation over the Gulf of Mexico during a flight test conducted in open airspace.
The pilot flew closer to the formation and spotted the orb floating in the center.
Alarmingly, Representative Gaetz stated:
'When he [the pilot] approached, he said his radar went down and he had to take this image from one of the lenses manually.’
Representative Luna also confirmed to Liberation Times that she would support invoking the Holman Rule, commenting:
“I fully support it if we're continuing to be stonewalled. And I think that my other colleagues will also agree…if there are going to be people that are preventing this information from coming out, they need to be held accountable.”
This rule would grant Congress the authority to reduce the salary of or terminate specific federal employees who obstruct UAP investigations, and it would also provide the ability to cut funding for a particular program.
The Congresswoman is a United States Air Force veteran who served at the Air National Guard in Portland. Speaking with Liberation Times, she recounted a UAP event that took place in 2018, sharing her perspective:
“When I was stationed at Portland Air National Guard there was an incident that occurred around roughly 2018.
“Some of our pilots had responded and when they got back, they were pretty quiet about it.
“Someone pulled me aside and mentioned that he or she thought that it was potentially a UAP and that was my first military conversation on it.”
Momentum regarding the UAP topic continues to build, with further hearings within House and Senate expected to be confirmed, which could lead to even more legislation to fully investigate the issue.
However, the efforts of Congress and testimony from Grusch has created some frustration within the Department of Defense.
Today, a letter emerged allegedly from Dr Sean Kirkpatrick, the Director of the Pentagon’s UAP program, known as the All Domain-anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
In the letter purportedly from Kirkpatrick, he expressed his frustrations that David Grusch had ‘refused’ to speak with AARO. That is despite Grusch telling journalist Ross Coulthart that he had previously expressed concerns to Dr Kirkpatrick:
“Well, I know Dr Sean Kirkpatrick, known him for about eight years. and I expressed some concerns to Dr Kirkpatrick about a year ago.
“And I told him what I was starting to uncover, and he didn't follow up with me, and he has my phone number he could have called me.
“I hope he ultimately does the right thing. He should be able to make the same investigative discoveries I did. it's totally crazy if he doesn't.”
Providing her own thoughts regarding the letter Representative Luna told Liberation Times:
“It would be interesting to have him [Dr Sean Kirkpatrick] sit down in a SCIF with Grusch.
“I want to remind people that I actually asked Grusch about Kirkpatrick during the testimony because Grusch said that he brought concerns to Kirkpatrick and that he didn't follow up on them or investigate.”
Liberation Times has requested comment from the Department of Defense regarding the authenticity of the letter allegedly written by Dr Kirkpatrick - no comment has been provided to date.
