Former Chief For Defense Contractor That Ran Area 51 Claimed Knowledge Of Recovered ‘Flying Saucer’ And ‘Live Being’, As Congress Looks To Uncover Details Of Alleged Illegal UFO Programs

Alfred O’Donnell, a senior manager of EG&G, the defense contractor that managed Area 51, claimed that “they did have a flying saucer that had been recovered from New Mexico,” and a “live being” according to investigative journalist George Knapp, who interviewed him on numerous occasions.
According to Knapp, O’Donnell, when speaking about the ‘being’ told him:
“We didn't know what it was…To tell you the truth, we couldn't communicate with it. In the beginning, we didn't know what it was, we didn't know where it was from. And we didn't know what to do with it.”
Knapp added that O’Donnell compared the being’s appearance to former Presidential nominee Ross Perot, unlike the classical grey-looking alien.
Knapp also shared a story about a former female employee of defense contractor Holmes & Narver who allegedly had knowledge about "crashed saucers, recovered materials, and what sounded like a Roswell-type incident." Before Knapp was scheduled to speak with her, the woman was intimidated by unknown agents, which caused her to cancel the meeting. Even after two decades, she continued to refuse a meeting.
The speculation around the alleged recovered craft led to a Congressional staffer overseeing Special Access Programs (SAPs), named Richard D’Amato, investigating the claims.
In the early 1990s, former Senate Majority Leader Robert Byrd, who was chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, and the late Senator Harry Reid, who would later serve as Senate Majority Leader, tasked D'Amato with investigating the topic.
After investigating and visiting Area 51, D’Amato was unable to verify claims relating to crashed saucers but according to Knapp thought it “entirely feasible, that this UFO cover-up exists within a private company, a company”, such as Lockheed Martin, EG&G or Northrop Grumman.
However, his public stance on the topic stands as follows:
“In the 1980s and 1990s, I served on the staff of the Senate Democratic Leader, Senator Robert C. Byrd, and my responsibilities involved helping manage the budgets of the Department of Defense and the National Foreign Intelligence Program. My duties included responding to a Senator's and committees' requests for information, analysis, and legislation on a variety of national security issues. In this context, a senior Senate Committee chairman asked me to conduct a preliminary inquiry into allegations that came to his attention regarding unidentified aerial crashes in the 1940s in New Mexico.
“I met with a number of people who had made public statements on the matter. I reported my conclusion to the Senator that the basis for such allegations did not appear to merit any further Senate investigation. Beyond this inquiry on behalf of the Senator, I have no personal opinion on the matter and consider the inquiry to have been closed for over 20 years.”
Knapp told fellow journalist Jeremy Corbell on their podcast, WEAPONIZED, that he scheduled a meeting between D’Amato and O’Donnell, with the blessing of EG&G co-founder Herbert Grier. But according to Knapp, O’Donnell wouldn’t tell D’Amato anything. Knapp points to this as the time that the narrative from O’Donnell started to change.
According to Knapp, O'Donnell was warned not to speak to him anymore, but he did agree to record a tape before he died, which would later be given to the journalist. Knapp stated that O'Donnell subsequently confirmed he had made a deathbed confession, a fact also relayed to him by O'Donnell's son, Bill O'Donnell, a former Nevada politician who introduced Knapp to his father.
Despite the passage of time, no confession tape has surfaced to date. If a recording of O'Donnell's deathbed confession were made public, corroborating reports of a crashed flying saucer and a living being, it would lend credibility to the assertions made by Bob Lazar. Lazar has recounted his experiences of working on recovered saucers in Area 51 after being interviewed by EG&G.
Years after his initial conversation with Knapp, O'Donnell changed his story and shared a different version of the flying saucer incident with journalist and author Annie Jacobsen. This version regarded the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) incident at Roswell in 1947.
In her book, ‘Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base’, Jacobsen detailed how O’Donnell (although not named in the book) told her that the Roswell incident was not the result of non-human intelligence, but in fact a Russian craft with "grotesque, child-size aviators" developed in human experiments by Nazi doctor and war criminal Josef Mengele.
After visiting Russia following the Cold War, Knapp disputed O'Donnell's version of Roswell. Through his Russian contacts, including Professor Valery Burdakov, an aerospace scientist whose mentor was Sergei Korolev, the father of the Soviet Union's space program, Knapp discovered that the Russians were just as mystified about the Roswell incident as the Americans.
"Korolyov told Stalin the phenomenon was real," commented Burdakov in an interview with Knapp in 1993.
"He told him the UFOs were not dangerous to our country, but they were not manufactured in the United States, or any other country. Stalin thanked him and told him his opinion was shared by a number of other specialists."
If the claims made by O'Donnell to Knapp are true, EG&G's historic involvement in the UAP topic could be significant. Although it is no longer a standalone company, EG&G was a crucial player in the U.S. nuclear weapons program and ran Area 51. The contractor assisted with tests at the Nevada Test Site, highlighting its deep connections to a potential UAP coverup which has often been connected with U.S. nuclear assets.
The Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is currently investigating the potential connection between nuclear assets and UAP. This investigation started by taking the testimony of two United States Air Force veterans, who claimed that UAP had deactivated nuclear missiles and shot down a test missile.
Knapp’s recollections of his encounters with O’Donnell come after legislation was passed into law by President Joe Biden, providing protections to potential whistleblowers involved in secretive programs not reported ‘clearly’ and ‘explicitly’ to relevant Congressional committees relating to alleged retrieval and reverse-engineering of potential non-human craft.
The approved language not only allows government personnel to come forward but also those working for private defense contractors working on rumoured UAP programs.
In 2021, Senator Harry Reid, told the New Yorker, “I was told for decades that Lockheed had some of these retrieved materials.”
Accounts detailed by Knapp of alleged intimidation of witnesses continue up until this day, according to multiple Liberation Times sources.
Speaking to Liberation Times, Jeremy Corbell commented:
‘Credible people have given accounts of crashed flying saucers recovered by the United States Military for decades. On face value - these claims seem implausible; almost comical. How could craft of such advanced and exotic origin suddenly become nonoperational or experience critical failure over the deserts of New Mexico - and numerous other locations?
‘This continued narrative has always bothered me. However - these accounts increasingly appear to be true and factual. With each step towards the heart of this matter - I have found verifiable evidence that this is indeed exactly what has happened. That our government has put into place rapid-response recovery and isolation teams - and well articulated and mobilized programs to deal with downed UFOs as well. If you are unaware - it’s time to catch up.
‘The presence of UFOs traversing our skies for generations represents one of the closest guarded secrets of our time. The implications and fears that cause the aura of secrecy surrounding this mystery relates to the derivative technology exploitation programs that have emerged - as well as - concerns about the development of weapons of mass destruction based on reverse engineering of these non-terrestrial technologies.
‘The real question is - WHY does the coverup of these events persist? WHY are witnesses routinely silenced through threat of reprisal or personal harm?
‘The answer to this is actually pretty simple. Until we know what we’re dealing with - this is a new technological race. A silent and invisible Cold War. And the winner takes all.
‘This technology can change the world - but the world will certainly change when consensus reality catches up with actual reality - and it’s widely understood that the builders of these machines are from somewhere else. Then - and only then - will we begin to see the true nature of our reality a bit more clearly.’
