Congressman Recruits UFO Whistleblower to Support Investigation Into Secret Activities

On 1 April 2025, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) whistleblower David Grusch will officially join the staff of Congressman Eric Burlison.
Grusch, a former senior intelligence officer with both the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office, confirmed in a statement to NewsNation yesterday that he will assist Representative Burlison and Congress in holding accountable those who have broken the law.
Grusch stated:
“I’m both immensely humbled and deeply honored to join Congressman Burlison and his amazing team of professionals in pushing for government transparency.”
“The public is rightfully demanding to know the truth and it is my true privilege for me to serve the people of this country once again.
“I will use all my expertise to support Rep. Burlison and help the US Congress restore full oversight while enabling the Legislative Branch’s ability to investigate and hold those accountable who have broken the law and lied not only to our Congress, but also to the Executive Office of the President, Director of National Intelligence, and Department of Justice.”
In an interview with NewsNation’s Blake Burman, Representative Burlison explained why he hired Grusch:
“I think that it’s frustrating to me that we can’t continue to get any further. One of the things that was highlighted to me is that we don’t have someone who’s an expert in this field helping us navigate the intelligence community….the thing is you don’t know which questions to ask. So how do you determine where to go when you don’t have the first clue?”
Representative Burlison, a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform and its Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, further elaborated on Grusch’s role, adding:
“He’s putting together a plan that we’ll be able to execute and then work through my office, to get some more information out through the committee staff.”
Burlison added that he intends to establish a direct line of communication with U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to support his investigations into UAP. He also confirmed that Grusch brings valuable connections of his own, including ties to the new Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.
Testifying under oath before the House Oversight Committee in 2023, Grusch alleged that the U.S. government has operated multi-decade recovery and reverse-engineering programs involving advanced UAP of non-human origin—programs that have remained beyond the reach of Congressional oversight.
At the hearing, Grusch said he had suffered retaliation for speaking out in favour of increased transparency.
In his new role, Grusch is now in a position to support any potential further hearings involving Representative Burlison, who at a hearing held on 13 November 2024, expressed interest regarding allegations involving the attempted transfer of UAP materials from Lockheed Martin.
Lockheed Martin has refused on multiple occasions to comment on allegations that its executives, including former Vice President of Space Systems, James Ryder, were involved in the attempted transfer of materials.
On 3 March 2025, Liberation Times contacted Lockheed Martin’s media relations office with the following inquiries:
The extent of Lockheed Martin’s involvement in the proposed material divestment plan
Whether Lockheed Martin currently possesses—or has previously handled—advanced non-human materials linked to historical crash retrieval operations
Whether Lockheed Martin holds any records of James Ryder’s alleged role in the proposal.
Despite repeated requests for comment, Lockheed Martin has refused to respond.
In November 2023, Liberation Times asked Lockheed Martin whether it could deny allegations that it possesses materials of unknown or non-human origin and had attempted to divest itself of such materials. A company spokesperson declined to issue a denial, instead stating: “Questions about UAPs are best addressed by the U.S. government.”
As previously reported by Liberation Times, efforts in 2011 to transfer materials between Lockheed Martin and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) were allegedly thwarted through actions coordinated by the CIA’s Directorate of Science & Technology, then led by Glenn Gaffney.
Liberation Times now understands that the final authority to block the transfer ultimately rested with Robert Cardillo, who at the time served as the Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Intelligence Integration.
Grusch has previously discussed an earlier attempt to transfer the materials from Lockheed Martin to a Defense Intelligence Agency program known as the Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP).
Senator Harry Reid had sought to elevate AAWSAP to a waived Special Access Program, enabling it to receive the materials.
However, Liberation Times understands that the effort to gain SAP status for AAWSAP was ultimately blocked by Deputy Secretary of Defense, William Lynn, due to pressure from individuals within the intelligence community.
Regardless of the direction future investigations take, any additional hearings are expected to intensify pressure on the Trump administration to act decisively—including appointing a UAP advocate with expertise comparable to Grusch’s.
Such an appointee would be tasked with leading and coordinating investigative and transparency efforts from within the National Security Council.
