The Five Most Significant UFO Podcast Episodes Ever
Podcasts have become the leading form of digital entertainment, partially because audiences love delving deep into a topic.
Following Joe Rogan’s Podcast success, others have successfully followed in his footsteps.
And the the popularity of podcasts such as Rogan’s, have forced the topic of UFOs wide-open into the public public arena.
Some of the episodes we list further below have helped change public perception, some have been explosive, whilst others have provided us with a greater understanding of the topic.
To provide context of how popular podcasts featuring the UFO topic have been, get this:
Joe Rogan’s episode featuring Jeremy Corbell and Bob Lazar was his ninth most watched on YouTube, with 15 million views
Lex Fridman’s episode featuring Commander David Fravor is his most popular episode on YouTube, with a whopping 4.7 million views.
So let’s get to it - here are the top five.
#1 - The Joe Rogan Experience Episode 1315, Featuring Jeremy Corbell and Bob Lazar
Lazar had been a thing of UFO folklore, a figure that had split opinion within the UFO community.
His story of back engineering an alien spacecraft was starting to fade; that was before filmmaker Jeremy Corbell together with legendary journalist George Knapp decided to take a fresh look, resulting in the documentary ‘Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers’.
To promote the documentary, Corbell and Lazar appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast. And it was extraordinary.
A mixture of new revelations adding weight to Lazar’s claims, together with the fact that Lazar simply came across as so credible, meant his story and the topic of UFOs exploded back into the public zeitgeist.
It helped Corbell become a household name in the U.S. and inspired a new generation of UFOlogists.
#2 - That UFO Podcast Episode 27, Featuring Luis Elizondo
Former AATIP Director Luis Elizondo had just left Tom Delonge’s ‘To The Stars Academy’, when he appeared on this podcast in early 2021.
His departure came at a crucial moment, after former POTUS Donald Trump had signed the COVID-19 relief bill, which extraordinarily contained a 180-day countdown for the Pentagon to provide a report regarding UFOs to Congress.
Elizondo had been revitalised by the major milestone and had been on excellent form on many of the podcasts prior to his appearance on Andy McGrillen’s 'That UFO Podcast’.
But it was this interview which resonated most with many within the UFO community. The chemistry between Elizondo and McGrillen created a thrilling interview, where the audience was able to learn about new aspects regarding UFOs and the disclosure process.
The podcast moment which resonated most was Elizondo’s Cigarette Analogy. McGrillen asked Elizondo to elaborate a statement he had previously made about “mankinds”.
Elizondo began to explain how the linear universe we experience really is not linear after all from what we have learned through Quantum Physics.
Then…the cigarette. Lue asked Andy and his audience to imagine a cigarette.
The ash is the past
The section yet to burn is the future
The burning section is the present moment, when the future is becoming the past.
If you remove the glare from the burning cigarette, you realise that it isn’t an ‘even burn’. That means the future and past live in the present moment.
So what if there was a species out there that experience elements of the future and past in the present? So that’s what he meant by mankinds….other species experiencing a significantly richer present moment.
Mind blown!
#3 - Lex Fridman Podcast Episode 122, Featuring Commander David Fravor
Fridman had just lost a family member when interviewing Fravor, a former squadron leader who worked as a Navy pilot for 18 years. Fravor famously witnessed the infamous ‘tic tac’ UFO in 2004.
Cue one of the most magical interviews ever conducted.
Not only did Fravor and Fridman provoke an enlightened philosophical discussion about the ‘tic tac’ being of possible ET origin, Fravor was able to into greater detail about the tic tac event than he had ever done before.
Fridman and Fravor bonded. Fravor revealed his own touching personal journey, from his inspirational grandfather, to how he went from troubled youth to a Top Gun pilot.
It was clear that Fridman found deep meaning and comfort from his discussion with Fravor and we hope for a follow-up meeting some day.
#4 - The Joe Rogan Experience Episode 1029, Featuring Tom Delonge
In October 2017, many believed former Blink 182 frontman Tom Delonge had lost his mind following his interview with Rogan.
Tom appeared on edge and made a number of sensational claims about the UFO phenomenon and how the U.S. government was handling the situation.
When showing Rogan videos of the supposed anti-gravitic TR3B, Rogan can be heard mocking Tom, obviously not buying any of his claims.
Tom famously claimed his company To The Stars Academy was going to accomplish big things in helping disclose UFO information, including new videos.
Following, the interview many laughed off Delonge’s claims. That was until his company released three famous videos of UFOs filmed by fighter pilots, later confirmed to be authentic by the Pentagon.
That was when the world changed.
#5 - Dr Brian Keating Podcast, Featuring Eric Weinstein and Michael Shermer
This was the moment when intellectual heavyweight Eric Weinstein openly came out as a believer of the UFO presence on Earth.
Through a well-placed source, Weinstein had become convinced that the phenomenon was real.
He claimed his source relayed to him an incident which occurred over the Mediterranean Sea, where an unidentified craft moving at extremely high speeds was literally flying circles around U.S. fighter jets.
Weinstein was able to hold his own in the ensuing debate with sceptic Michael Shermer.
Interestingly, a few months following the podcast, Dr Brian Keating, a heavyweight physicist in his own right, announced he had joined the Galileo Project, which will investigate UFOs using the scientific method.
